Notifications

The bell icon, what triggers a notification, what gets emailed, broadcast messages.

Notifications

The bell icon in the top nav (next to the band dropdown) shows in-app notifications — small, scoped, expire after 30 days. Some events also generate an email. Some events generate both.

What triggers a notification

  • Band invites — when someone invites your existing Loadout account to a band, and when you've been removed from a band.
  • Audience requests — when a fan submits a request on an active gig.
  • Tip activity — new tip received, dispute opened.
  • Payout events — failed payout (with the reason).
  • Admin broadcast messages — Loadout occasionally sends product announcements to all users.

The bell

Tap the bell icon. The dropdown shows your most recent 20 notifications from the last 30 days. Unread count is the badge.

  • Tap a notification to mark it read and (usually) navigate to whatever it's about.
  • Mark all read at the bottom of the dropdown.

Email vs. in-app

The general rule:

  • Always in-app — every notification of every type.
  • Also emailed — invites, payout failures, dispute opened, account-deletion-pending. The high-importance ones where missing the in-app version would matter.
  • Email-only (no in-app) — none currently. Even verification emails and password resets create no in-app entry (you're not signed in yet).

Where emails come from

hello@loadout.band via Resend. If you're not seeing them, check spam — Resend's reputation is good but new addresses occasionally land filtered.

You can resend any specific verification email from /verify-email if you're stuck.

Admin broadcast

Loadout admins can send announcement messages to all users (product updates, scheduled maintenance). These land:

  • As a notification in the bell.
  • As an email via Resend (subject prefixed with "Loadout:").

You can't opt out — but they're rare. We're talking a couple a quarter, not weekly.

What's next

  • Account settings — change your email if you're missing notifications.
  • Privacy — what's in those notifications.
